But first, you need to get the newsletters in a printable form by using your web browser.

In order to do that, you need to open the archived version of your campaign first.

Step 1. Opening Your Archived Mailchimp Campaign

To open an archived version of your sent Mailchimp newsletters:

  • Log in to your Mailchimp account.
  • Click on the “Campaigns” tab.
  • Click on “All campaigns”.
  • Choose the campaign you want to print and click on it.
  • Click on “View email”.
  • Click on “Past Issues” near the top of the screen.

You will now see a list of all your sent campaigns, including the one you selected.

Before you move on to the printing process, you need to turn the Archive Bar off and remove the webpage header and footer.

Step 2. Turning Off The Archive Bar And Headers

Mailchimp automatically adds an Archive Bar on top of all archived email campaigns to make it easier for subscribers to translate and view campaigns sent to them.

But we don’t need this in the printout.

Follow the steps below to turn off the Archive Bar:

  • Click “Audience”.
  • Click “Audience dashboard”.
  • In case you have multiple audiences, click Current audience and choose the one you want from the the drop-down
  • Click “Manage Audience” and choose “Settings” from the drop-down.
  • Click “Publicity Settings”.
  • Uncheck “Activate the “archive bar” for this list”.
  • Click “Save Publicity Settings”.

Now, the Archive Bar would not be visible anymore.

You can turn it back on when you are done with the printing.

Step 3. Removing Webpage Header and Footer

Most web browsers will add a header and footer to your newsletter email to show the website address and name, and the date you accessed the page.

You can disable the header and footer when you set your print and save settings (more on this in a moment).

Step 4. Printing The Mailchimp Newsletter Email

So, you have opened your archived MailChimp campaign on a web browser, turned the archive bar off. All that is left to do is printing.

You can use your browser’s print function for this.

Simply hit CTRL+P or CMD+P on your keyboard and hit Enter to open the print option window.

The print options are going to be different from browser to browser, and it will have a range of options such as orientation, page size etc..

Since I can’t cover all of them, I have listed links to instructions on print options for a few major browsers for your convenience below.

Simply click on the browser name you use to view the options.

Basically, you just have to set these options

You can also save your newsletter in different file formats such as PDF or HTML.

These saving options vary too, depending on the browser you use.

If you don’t have a printer at home, you can save it as a PDF and take it to a bookstore or somewhere and have them print from that.
